Every year, at the end of spring semester, a domestic technical trip for one week in which the practical applications of the theoretical studies can be experienced is organized for the undergraduates finished their 6th semester with the participation of faculty members and research assistants. Factories operating in the area of food production which chosen according to the diversity of technologies used in them, also a variety of cold storage facilities, food science institutes, food engineering departments, and also certain natural scenes of the country are being visited in the scope of this technical trip.

Besides the year-end technical trip, food production facilities and laboratories especially in Istanbul are being visited within the context of lectures. These activities have great benefits on the establishment of the practical understanding of the theoretical knowledge.
